Personal Statement
When I was very young, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher, and I expressed this desire to my loved ones often. I would take my little chalkboard and books out and "play" school with kids in my neighborhood. In 6th Grade, I was chosen to help tutor First Grade students in Reading - I had a student who would come to our classroom where I would read with her to help improve her reading skills. This experience gave me confidence and taught me the true enjoyment of helping someone learn something new.

My Teaching Experience
I have been a teacher for over 30 years, and during that time I have taught students ranging from Kindergarten age through 8th Grade and Licensing Study Class for adults. I also have over 20 years experience as a professional tutor, plus many years of tutoring just to help friends and fellow classmates. I have taught all subjects, but I am exceptional at teaching and assessing Reading, Writing and Life and Health Insurance Exam prep.

My Philosophy of Education
As an educator I have a responsibility to honor and educate the whole person. I believe in the full mastery of the subject matter. I also know how important it is to honor each student and motivate them to succeed as well as develop their unique gifts and talents.

My Goal As An Educator
To foster a love of learning and to provide genuine opportunities for students to explore individual interests and pursuits.

I want to provide a service and create a community that will help individuals enjoy the process of learning about the world around them!!!

Licensing Study Class~
Over a year ago I began teaching a Licensing Study Class. I have a great track record of helping people pass the Life and Health Exam for their state. We play games on Blooket and Kahoot; gamification with this insurance information has proven to be a powerful tool. Group and individual lessons available.
